Liverani ready to stay

Fabio Liverani has told Lazio that he is ready to commit his future to the club as soon as the right contract offer is placed on the table.

The midfielder’s current agreement expires in June which could see him leave the Stadio Olimpico on a free transfer.

But the Italian international says he is ready to remain in the capital so long as the price is right.

"Under the right circumstances, staying with the Biancocelesti is my primary objective," stated the playmaker.

Liverani, a Roma fan, joined Lazio in September 2001 for a massive £8m from little Perugia.
