刘敬民还透露，北京奥运会的火炬塔也正在设计建造之中。
刘敬民承认在第一阶段门票销售方面低估了国人的热情，致使网络售票瘫痪。不过，第二阶段采用抽签方式购票，估计不再会出现拥挤现象。
刘敬民说，奥运火炬手的选拔名单已经上报，目前正在审核之中。名单中，年龄最小的14岁，最大的77岁。刘敬民还透露，在珠峰上传递的火炬由于要适应当地寒冷和缺氧的环境，正在让航天部门特别制作。 (中欣)
