Hopefully that Edgard Alvarez likes the t-shirt of Rome because he will dress it for five more years.The directors of the capital club bought it to the Peñarol of Uruguay by 1,58 million dollars, 30 million of lempiras (Honduran money). The Italian club will pay half of the amount this week and the rest will cancel the next year. The Honduran arrived at Italy in quality of loan, with option to purchase and now there will be Edgard until 2011.
The pressure of Platense of Honduras national league to prevent that the transaction was made, alleging that Peñarol did not pay to them on time, was not successful. They even sent the case to the Fifa, but never they received an answer.
The representative of Alvarez, Pablo Betancur, assured yesterday that Peñarol paid 100 thousand dollars to Platense and they did not want to accept the second payment of 25 thousands because they realized of which the soccer player was worth more.
