Derby boss Jewell admits Carroll deal may not happen

Derby boss Paul Jewell admits he may have to drop his pursuit of Rangers goalkeeper Roy Carroll.
"It was close this time last week when we'd got permission to speak to him," the Derby boss told the club's official website.
"Everything was agreed with Roy, but Rangers were looking to bring another goalkeeper in.
"That is really frustrating, not only for myself but for Roy as well, so it looks as if that's not going to happen.
"We might have to move on elsewhere now."
