Inter Milan's Adriano scores twice on Sao Paulo debut
Inter Milan striker Adriano celebrated his competitive debut with Sao Paulo by scoring both goals in their 2-1 victory over Guaratingueta on the opening day of the Brazilian season.
"I wonder what the Italian media will say. They are not accustomed to being nice about me," smiled Adriano at the final whistle.
Adriano also will no longer answer to the nickname L'Imperatore.
"Don't call me that, I prefer to leave that name behind in Italy," said Adriano, who is on-loan at Sao Paulo for six months.
"I am a different person now and would prefer to be called Adriano. I am trying to start my life over and that means leaving 'Imperatore' behind."
