Howey: Barton will have Newcastle chance under Keegan

Steve Howey believes Kevin Keegan will give Joey Barton every chance to rebuild his career at Newcastle United.
Former Toon defender Howey told The Sun: "It's going to be difficult for Joey because players who are new to the area don't know how intense it is at Newcastle.
"Even if you go out for a bite to eat with your wife, girlfriend or your mates, you get people coming across to your table.
"In all fairness you can get tested a little bit but you just have to accept that's how it is.
"It's not like a London club or in Manchester where you can get lost a little bit. Despite how big the city is, everybody knows who you are.
"But Kevin will grab hold of Joey and tell him what's expected of him.
"If he gets what he wants, it won't be a problem and Joey will be a great acquisition to the squad.
"If he doesn't, well I'm sure Joey will be on his way."
