Di Canio to move into coaching

Paolo Di Canio is set to end his footballing career at the age of 38 after Lazio failed to offer him a contract extension.

Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotitio has yet to speak with the Italian striker, much to the disappointment of Di Canio who is now expected to quit the game to concentrate on a coaching career.

The former West Ham United star is unhappy at his treatment by Lazio but would be happy to return to the Stadio Olimpico as a coach in the future.

"The possibility of not playing again with Lazio is coming true," he said.
