After five days of intensive physical work in Trentino, Monsieur Deschamps rewarded his players with a whole day’s rest. However, a day off for the bianconeri is not your regular afternoon by the swimming pool; up at the crack of dawn, it was straight off to the Rendena Golf Club for Pavel Nedved,
where he was joined by Michelangelo Rampulla.
Meanwhile, on the tennis courts at Pinzolo, Deschamps was battling it out with fitness trainer Antonio Pintus and special guest fan, Paolo Brosio, in town to greet to the squad.
After two hours serving and volleying, the coach moved on to the Summer Village to meet the fans, signing autographs and posing for countless photos.
And so it was that a small party of hungry bianconeri made their way up on the funicular to Doss del Sabion, located at 2100m above sea-level.
Joining Deschamps for lunch were Corradini, Rampulla, Pintus, Dr Agricola, Dr Giordano, Giunta, Kovac, Ibrahimovic and Tudor. As they enjoyed their meal, and the stunning panorama of the Dolomites, the troupe recharged their batteries for another week’s intensive work.
