The Serie A match between Catania and Lazio will be played at Lecce’s Stadio Via del Mare on October 22.

The tie will be played behind closed doors due to a two-match ban on Catania’s Stadio Massimino following two serious incidents of fan violence in Sicilian derbies.

The Lega Calcio confirmed the change of venue for the Week 7 encounter this afternoon.

Catania had appealed against the suspension, but their legal bid to play in Sicily was rejected.
