Bayern have extended their own record Bundesliga goals total to 3,000, but Roy Makaay's historic strike produced mixed feelings on Saturday as the Reds went on to lose 3-1 away to a lively Werder Bremen side. Makaay netted from close range to pull one back after the champions had gone 2-0 down, but the Dutch ace and his team-mates were unable to put another goal on the scoreboard at the Weser stadium.
Makaay himself boasts a remarkable scoring record and Saturday's strike earned the likeable marksman a place of his own in the Munich annals. In 103 Bundesliga appearances, the 31-year-old has now been directly involved in 91 goals, claiming 66 for himself and providing a further 25 for fellow Reds.
fcbayern.de has trawled the record books at the club and presents a review of previous milestones in the champions' scoring history.
