Lazio midfielder Valon Behrami will be out of action for about a month after damaging ligaments in his right foot and lower leg during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Juventus, his club announced on Monday.
The 20-year-old Swiss international was carried off on a stretcher towards the end of the first half of the match after going down under a heavy challenge by Juve defender Fabio Cannavaro.
Lazio said he would need to rest for 20 days before he could train again.
The injury will keep him out of Serie A matches against Lecce, Ascoli, Parma and Messina.
Lazio are eighth in Serie A on 23 points from 16 matches, 20 points behind leaders Juventus.
