Lazio qualified for the Italian Cup quarterfinals Thursday after beating third-division Cittadella 2-0 on aggregate despite a 0-0 draw in the second leg of the fourth round.
The Roman side, which started several reserve players at Stadio Eugeneo in Padua, focused on defense and had only one scoring chance when midfielder Ousmane Dabo kicked wide from the edge of the penalty area in injury time.
In the quarterfinals, which are scheduled for Jan. 25 and Feb. 1, Lazio will play either defending champion Inter Milan or Parma. Those teams play later Thursday.
In the other quarterfinals, Juventus faces AS Roma, AC Milan takes on Palermo and Sampdoria plays Udinese.
