Juventus president insists "surprise" by Deschamps resignation

Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli insists he was "surprised" by Didier Deschamps' resignation last night.
"Deschamps will meet with director Jean Claude Blanc later this evening and they will clarify this problem," said Cobolli Gigli.
"There are strong stories circulating that he wants to hand in his resignation. We were honestly surprised, as the last we knew in his Press conference this week he said he wanted to stay with Juventus."
Asked about the possibility of Fabio Capello returning, Cobolli Gigli added: "Capello back here? I think that would be very difficult."
