Rangers must trump Spanish interest for Feindouno

Saint-Etienne striker Pascal Feindouno is being lined up a for a &;pound;4 million move to Rangers.

Feindouno's agent, Amadou Diaby, told Scotland on Sunday: "Rangers are a huge club, and Jean-Claude is my friend, so this could be tempting for me.
"The Scottish league is very physical, and that would be a real challenge for me, but it would allow me to play in the Champions League."
Feindouno has been linked with Spanish trio Sevilla, Valencia and Deportivo la Coruna, so it would be a huge coup were Walter Smith to sign him.
"We know that Rangers are interested, but they are not the only club," said Diaby. "Rangers could yet be a good solution for Pascal. They are obviously a very big club, with a big tradition. The fact that Jean-Claude Darcheville will be playing for them next season is also a good thing. Saint-Etienne are ready to let Pascal go, they have set a price at &;pound;4m, but even this could be negotiable."
