Unsworth still coming to terms with Wigan axe

David Unsworth admits he's still getting over his sudden release by Wigan Athletic  at the end of the season.

The defender told evertonTV: "Yeah I was (disappointed). But we all know football and its a strange game.
"I have made a conscious effort to go back to centre half I played a number of games there for Wigan and at left back really but I thought I did okay and I was happy with my form."
His efforts at Wigan will not have gone unnoticed by other clubs. And his place in Wigan history is assured, thanks to his penalty at Bramall Lane.
"I was up for the free kick and Leighton Baines usually takes the penalties, Lee McCulloch does as well but I just felt that whilst I was up there somebody needed to take a bit of responsibility. As the senior player I took it off him but he was very quick to throw me the ball though."
