Sevilla coach Juande Ramos is in the frame for the vacant Manchester City job.
The Mirror says Ramos, 52, is chasing the La Liga title with Sevilla and has just taken them to their second successive UEFA Cup triumph. But he is looking to come to England in the summer.
And sources close to the vastly-respected boss reveal he is prepared to speak to City if the former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra completes a takeover.
Ramos was sounded out about Chelsea, but then left in the dark after their FA Cup triumph threw Jose Mourinho a lifeline.
