Davies happy after first months at Fulham
Simon Davies is satisfied with his first six months as a Fulham player.
The former Everton midfielder told fulhamfc.com: "I've settled in well and I'm really looking forward to next season, coming back, getting fit and making a good start. There is the nucleus of a good squad here which we can build on.
"Everyone who's still here at the start of pre-season training will come back on an even keel. When players aren't getting picked they can sometimes get disheartened but everyone will have a clean slate and will be looking to impress the Manager.
"As a team, first and foremost you want to stay in the league. But you've also got to have ambitions to better yourself each season. We're good enough to finish 10th or above but it's the same for a lot of teams in our situation - whoever can put the best runs together will be the ones who push on.
"Everton were struggling the season before last but we won a couple of games towards the end and got out of trouble. The following season they started brilliantly - but it was only a couple of months later. You've just got to get the confidence going early and make sure that translates into getting results.
"Off the pitch, everything's going really well at the Club so it's just up to the players, the Manager and the coaching staff to get us up there where everyone wants up to be."
