Spurs eyeing Newcastle striker Owen

Tottenham are chasing Newcastle United striker Michael Owen.
The Daily Express says Spurs boss Martin Jol will monitor Owen's progress during England's games against Brazil and Estonia before moving for the striker.
Owen must prove his fitness during the internationals before Jol chooses to commit &;pound;9 million - which is set as the England man's buyout clause in his Toon deal.
