Liverpool's Pennant: First months were tough

Jermaine Pennant is feeling he's firmly established at Liverpool after a successful end-of-season run.

The winger told the Daily Post: "At first you have got to find your feet and I admit I was getting a little bit of bad press.
"And the fans got on my back a bit and it was hard to deal with. I have always had that belief in myself and I wanted to show it at the highest level. You want to prove yourself in those kind of games against the best and hopefully I'm starting to prove myself more.
"As soon as you get some games under your belt and you start playing well you gain confidence and take it into your stride.
"I had to adapt to a new manager, new players, the expectations of the fans but in the second half of the season I think I've come into my own."
