The former West Ham and Celtic star's current contract expires at the end of the season.

As yet no talks over a new deal have taken place with the club ready to wait until the end of the season before opening negotiations.

"I'm one of those players who doesn't know if I will stay," said Di Canio.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito admitted he was surprised by Di Canio's comments and that he had other priorities ahead of the player's contract.

"I'm surprised by his words, I can't guarantee that there aren't problems," said Lotito.
